A friend of mine raised the issue today of the “World Trade Center Cross”, a pair of crossbeams which approximate the proportions of the Christian symbol, that were found on the site of the collapsed buildings. A recent lawsuit over whether it should be included in the World Trade Center museum has pitted those who see it as a source of inspiration amid despair – and those who feel it represents a public endorsement of a religious symbol.
